"Can you give me two examples of food that is rich in protein, Elmy?" questioned Shafid during class."Milk and eggs," replied Elmy. "Chicken and beef," chipped Faiz. "What about you Zaim?" Erm..I think maybe Hamburger and french fries? "No, Zaim. French fries belong to the fats and carbohydrates group".
"Milk, eggs,chicken, beef, beans, butter and other foods are rich in protein. Now I want you to write down all the different kinds of food can you think of, which belong to the fats? Carbohydrates and protein groups." said Shafid...
The class was at work when suddenly - "No, I am right" said Elmy. "No, you aren't. Faiz and Zaim were arguing loudly. "Now, now, my friends, what's going here?" asked Shafid.
"Shafid, Faiz and Zaim says the egg came first but I (Elmy) say it was the chicken and both of them is arguing with me," said Elmy.
"Well, maybe all of you are right and wrong." What???? asked Elmy looking stunned.
Even now we are unable to determine whether it was the chicken or the egg which came first. There have been many theories to answer this puzzling question. One cannot say that it was the egg which came first - where did the egg come from then? Now can we say it was the chicken - for where did the chicken come from?
However, there is one group which believes that it was the egg. Why? They believe life starts from an embryo and for the first chicken to have existed, it must have started its life within the egg.
But then, you may asked, where did the egg come from - if there were no chicken????
The IDF has another new weapon in it's arsenal, a robotic snake. This Self-propelled robot is able to broadcast video using a reconnaissance camera and sound to a monitor and control station.The robotic snake, which is about two meters long and is covered in military camouflage, mimics the movements and appearance of real snakes, slithering around through caves, tunnels, cracks and buildings, while at the same time sending images and sound back to a soldier who controls the device through a laptop computer.Able to bend its joints so well that it can squeeze through very tight spaces, the new device can even be used to find people buried under collapsed buildings.
The snake is also able to arch its body, allowing it to see over obstacles through its head camera.Researchers studied the movements of live snakes in order to create the most natural and realistic robotic version.The IDF plans to provide combat units with these devices.Besides recording multimedia, the snake is also designed to carry explosives.The Israeli Ministry of Defense, with experts from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, based the design of this intelligence-gathering robot on a previous project of Ben-Gurion University, which created a slew of robotic animals with special abilities.
Eight months ago, researchers at Ben-Gurion University reported they had developed “robot snakes” capable of navigating through pipes and narrow openings.The Ben-Gurion report also detailed other robot animals, including, a cat that climbs walls using its claws, and a “dog-droid” that responds to the human movements.
A water catchment area is a large area of forest which traps rainwater and releases it into streams, rivers or lake. Dams and reservoirs are built across rivers to hold this water, as well as to control the flow to prevent flooding. Some examples of this dams include the Muda, Pedu and Ahning in the northern states of Kedah and Perlis. Logging and deforestation in catchmet areas will cause soil erosion, landslides and floods. Once tree are cut down, heavy rains will wash away the soil. This courses landslides. As the soil is washed down, it flows into rivers and settles on the river bed. This process is called sedimentation. It raises the river bed and the river becomes shallower. As a result, flooding occurs more frequently, especially during the rainy season.
The Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) opposes the idea of logging in the Muda forest. Theyb say tht logging will badly affect the water catchment areas which collect and supply water to Kedah, Penang and Perlis.We must look after catchment areas to ensure that we have a constant supply of clean water. Logging will also destroy the natural habitats of Flora and Fauna. Furthermore, the natural beauty of this areas will attract eco-tourists. These tourists who are interested in the natural environment, will find these untouched forests a great attraction.

Stop The Spitting Habit
Many people spit in public, especially in eating places. They ignore the 'No Spitting' sign and even spit on the floor and on the roads. This is a disgusting habit. It is also not hygienic and is extremely dangerous to public health. It can be embarrassing too, when tourists see people doing this in public.
The authorities should take serious step to stop this bad habit. One way is to educate people on the harmful effects of spitting in public.
Georgetown, the capital of Pulau Pinang (also known as Penang Island), is located at the north-eastern tip of the island. Skyscrapers, single-storeyed residential houses, modern apartment buildings and slums are found in this city. Its population of more than one million is made up of the major ethnic groups in Malaysia. The island is linked to the mainland by the famous Penang Bridge which is 13 kilometres long. There is also a ferry service between the mainland and the island.
Pulau Pinang is a small island and because of its rapid development, there are many environmental problems. there is not enough land and so land has to be reclaimed from the sea. Much of reclaimed land is just a few feet above sea level.
Georgetown itself is located in one of the lowest lying areas on the island. Many part of the city experience flash floods after a downpour. Flooding in Pulau Pinang is a serious problem now, especially in areas such as Jalan P.Ramlee in the city center. Traffic comes to a standstill and there are long queues for buses and taxis.
Another major problem is traffic congestion. Traffic congestion in the city is also caused by :
Poor public transportation
Insufficient and narrow roads
The increasing numbers of vehicles
Bad driving habits
Inadequate traffic control
Other environmental issues are :

Pulau Pinang needs to take care of its environment and pay more attention to these problems.
My family and I visited my grandparents in Bukit Aping. It is a small town just outside Perak. It is famous for its pomeloes. My grandparents were delighted to see us. They have a large orchard with pomelo, durian and rambutan trees. My grandmother also rear chickens, especially for their eggs.
It is really great to be at my grandparents home during the fruit season. We usually go there with our cousins during the school holidays. We have such great fun, we help my grandfather pick the durian fruits and sell them at his roadside stall. Many people stop to buy the fruits at his stall.
During the fruit season, my grandparents welcome the extra hands. My grandfather is not as strong as he used to be, so we help him as much as we can. Some of his neighbours and their children also lend a helping hand during their free time.
The work is not easy but we enjoy ourselves tremendously. We also help ourselves to all the fruits in the orchard. After a hard day's work, my grandmother pampers us with a delicious meal. She makes the best Nasi Lemak. For a city boy like me, a holiday in the kampung is always a treat...
Last year, my family and I spent an enjoyable holiday in Perak. We stayed at the naval base in Lumut. The base is very big, there are about 39 blocks of high-rise flats, each ten storeys high. More than 20 000 people live there. They come from all over the country. There are people from every state in Malaysia who live together in the Lumut Naval Base.
My father's friend is in the navy. He showed us around the base, he also took us on a ship called K.D Kasturi. I was Lucky because it was the ship's Family Day. We were all taken on a day trip on the ship, it was fantastic. I made many new friends at the base, we had a fun time wandering around the base and playing games. We also had the chance to use the large and modern sport complex in the base.
As the naval base is at TELUK BATIK, we went to the beach every day. Teluk Batik is a most popular picnic spot and I was very sad when our holiday came to an end....

Assalamualaikum...Hello, my name's Mohd Zaim Juwaidi bin Jamaluddin and I live at Taman Setapak Jaya Kuala Lumpur. I'm 23 years old, and now I'm studying at the National University of Malaysia in course Islamic Studies Theology and Philosophy. The course last three years, and I studied it's all in three languages - English, Arabic and Malay. It's hard work, but I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm stay at home with my mother, father and my younger brothers and sisters. I have seven relative in my family, three boys and four sisters. It is a big family and I'm the eldest brother in this family. In This lesson, I would like to introduce about my family.
Firstly I like to introduce about my mother, her name's Zaini bin Che Meh and she came from Permatang Pauh Pulau Pinang. She's 46 years old, and now she working at the Texas Instruments Malaysia, she doing the job as a part of 'Quality Control'. My mother is very hard working, kind and loveble person. Although she very busy with her job, but doesn't mean she forget about her responsibilityin our family. Early in the morning, she works from 8.00 a.m to 7.00 p.m and she has and two hour for lunch. Eery weekend, she likes to make tidy at home and also made up some special dish to enjoying holiday weekend for our family.
Second I like to introduce about my father, his name's Jamaluddin bin Ibrahim and he came from Kulim Kedah. He's 55 years old, and he working as guard's driver at Ampang Jaya. My father is very hard working too and he usually going out early in the morning after he pray and taken breakfeast. He works from 6.30 a.m to 8.30 p.m every days, and he very difficult to get some official permission to be absent from duty although his weekend. It's very hard and pity.
Further on, I like to introduce about my second younger sisters. Her name's Nurdiyana binti Jamaluddin and she's 22 years old. She's working now as a assistant manager in 7 Eleven, she doesn't like to continue study anymore because she wants to get a lot of money and find some new experience for a job. She is very different with my younger sisters, her name's Nadiah binti Jamaluddin and she's 18 years old. She has continued studying at the International Islamic Collegue and she very enjoying a lot about er course.
Next person is my fourth younger sisters, her name's Najlaa binti Jamaluddin and she's 17 years old. She has finished the SPM last years and now she also waiting invitation to continue studying at PoliTech Mara soon. Lsat person is about my younger sister, her name's Umi Hani binti Jamaluddin and she's 14 years old. Now she studying at secondary school right now and she will be taken PMR next year. Sometimes I'm very angry with him because she's very lazy at home and usually go out to play a lot with her friends.
Before I end this essays, I like to introduce about my last two younger brothers. His name is Muhd Zulfaqhar bin Jamaluddin and he is 8 years old, he is my second last younger brothers. And the last my younger brother is Muhd Nur Hafidz and he is 5 years old. Sometimes both of them try to be naughty but it's ok to me because I'm very love them.
